About Me

I'm Wout Belmans, 19 years old and currently studying Cloud & Cybersecurity at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences. My interest in IT started years before my studies. I've always had an interest in figuring out how systems work, solving problems, and learning new technologies.

I chose Electronics-ICT because for me, it was the perfect combination between hardware, software and other projects. It gave me the technical foundation I wanted, and confirmed that cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure are where I want to grow.

In my free time, I enjoy working on personal projects. From experimenting with servers to creating things for friends. I like hobbies that challenge me.

My ambition is to first grow within a company where I can deepen my skills and take on responsibility. Eventually, I dream of starting my own tech company, where I can bring secure, smart solutions to life and help others do the same.

During my time as a full-time student ICT employee, I was responsible for configuring and installing new laptops and desktops for the employees. I also assisted in the upgrade and deployment of Windows 11 across the organization, this because of the end-of-life of Windows 10. In addition, I contributed to some network documentation and helped manage their IT inventory. Throughout the role, I ensured the correct handling and deployment of all IT equipment, supporting a smooth and secure IT environment.
